The band's debut single "Wings" is released at the end of August and the girls are loving the positive response to the track, which some critics have compared to Christina Aguilera and Destiny's Child. Including me.

Perrie told me "It's a compliment to be compared to a Beyonce kind of sound, or Christina Aguilera kind of sound. It's just amazing to be compared to those amazing divas, so yeah it's really nice."

The band also hinted to me that their next single will be a 'darker, edgier sounding' track but for now, the girls are happy that everyone seems pleasantly surprised by the band's first original song release.

Jesy told me "we hope that we surprise people with our music, as when you're on X Factor you have to perform so many covers and when you come out of the show you have to find yourself as an artist and I definitely think we have with this single and we're really happy with the way it portrays Little Mix."
