He's currently touring the UK on his 'Fires' solo arena tour but Ronan Keating has confirmed that a Boyzone 20th Anniversary celebration tour will take place later this year.
Ronan "It's An Honour To Be Celebrating 20 Years Of Boyzone"
Ronan was joined on stage by Boyzone star Shayne Lynch, at his London 02 show last weekend and hinted that tickets for a new Boyzone UK tour will go on sale on Valentines Day.
Speaking to me backstage at his Cardiff show, ahead of his 02 show, Ronan wasn't prepared to give too much away but did confess "..fingers crossed it will all go well but something will happen this year..it's an honour to still be able to do it, for the four of us to get together and do something when we all want it so yeah, it'll be great to be back. But I can't believe it's twenty years..!"
Ronan's Fires tour features tracks from Ronan's most recent studio album ( one of his best to date, in my opinion) as well as some of his greatest hits including Life is a Rollercoaster and the 1999 No.1 single When You Say Nothing At All.
Brian McFadden is Ronan's special guest on the tour and their mutual respect and friendship was obvious to see, when I got the chance to hang out with the pair backstage at Cardiff's Motorpoint Arena. Ronan told me "It's a real treat having my mate on the road with me, we're having a great time and he's a real talent. I hope this album ( The Irish Connection) works for Brian, he deserves it and yes we're on the road for the next few weeks, until the middle of February which is great."
Ronan also talked to me about his role on X Factor Australia and his hopes for the end of 2013, hinting at those Boyzone tour dates? " ..let's see, where do I want to be. Well, I could well be on stage..! Let's see Kevin..!"
I for one can't wait to find out what the lads are planning.
