After appearing on The Voice and picking will.i.am as his mentor, Tyler finds himself preparing a brand new album thanks to a deal with Universal Music. It's probably fair to say that he was the real winner of that series, discounting the four 'coaches.'

But after recent unconfirmed reports that Sir Tom Jones and Jessie J won't be returning to the show in 2013, Tyler revealed to me that he'd love to see a certain UK multi-platinum star get the job.

"I'd love to see someone like Adele on there, that would be amazing especially as she really does have an amazing voice. But I don't why Tom and Jessie don't want to do the show, but Jessie J is a relatively new artists herself so it makes sense that she might need to time to focus on her own career."

Fresh from his appearance alongside will.i.am at the recent MTV Isle of Malta event, Tyler also confirmed to me that he's still planning a collaboration with the Black Eyed Peas star which will appear on both their albums. " Yeah, we're working on lots of stuff…I know his intention was to produce something to go on his and something to go on mine."

And in terms of Tyler's own songwriting and album plans, the 30 year old East London lad told me "The album's coming along although I am still writing. But from a song-writing perspective, I've found exactly what I want to do and I have one song for example, that is one I've always wanted to write. But I'm in the studio every day man and it's all good"

Tyler recently performed his new single in front of a celeb-packed crowd at the GREAT UK Creative services after-show party..and I for one liked what I heard.
